HomeWell Owner Spotlight: Kushagra and Ramneeta Gupta
By Grace Styron

In this Q&A, we spoke with Kushagra and Ramneeta Gupta, owners of HomeWell Care Services in Sunnyvale, California. Together, the Guptas blend their professional knowledge and personal insights to guide their expert HomeWell team and offer families reassurance that someone compassionate and dependable is there for their loved ones.
Q: What was your career journey leading up to HomeWell?
Kushagra: I come from a technology and engineering background, with over a decade of experience building reliable, scalable systems in fast-paced and highly accountable environments. My career required strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering consistent outcomes—skills that translate directly into running a high-quality care organization.
As I began exploring opportunities to build something of my own, I was drawn to businesses that were both operationally strong and deeply people-focused. I chose HomeWell because of its proven systems, strong reputation, and emphasis on personalized, relationship-based care rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. HomeWell’s focus on caregiver quality, support, and accountability aligned closely with my goal of building a sustainable, trusted agency that delivers exceptional care while maintaining high standards.
Ramneeta: I come from a healthcare background, where I gained firsthand experience working closely with patients and families and saw the impact that quality, compassionate care can make. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong understanding of patient needs, care coordination, and the importance of trust and reliability in healthcare services. My decision to choose the HomeWell franchise was influenced by its strong reputation, person-centered care model, and commitment to supporting both clients and caregivers.
Q: What was it about home care that stood out to you? Did you have a personal experience that drew you to this industry?
Kushagra: What stood out to me about home care is its ability to provide dignity, comfort, and peace of mind at a time when individuals and families need it most. Being away from home for much of my adult life has always made me sensitive to the worry families feel when they cannot be physically present for loved ones who need support. Knowing that compassionate, reliable home care can bridge that distance and allow families to feel reassured deeply resonated with me.
I have always had a soft corner for people who are unable to fully care for themselves due to physical limitations—most often related to aging but not limited to it. Home care represents more than assistance with daily tasks; it preserves independence, maintains familiarity, and supports emotional well-being, which is what ultimately drew me to this industry.
Ramneeta: I’ve been a healthcare worker for the past 10 years, and during that time I’ve seen firsthand how important compassionate, consistent care is—especially outside of clinical settings. What truly drew me to home care, though, was caring for my own mother before she passed away. Being on both sides—professionally and personally—showed me how much families rely on caregivers, not just for medical support, but for emotional reassurance, dignity, and trust.
That experience deeply shaped my perspective and solidified my passion for this industry. Home care isn’t just a job to me; it’s meaningful work that supports people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Q: What skills, experiences, or personality traits do you bring that will help you succeed as a HomeWell owner?
Kushagra: I bring a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and follow-through to everything I do. My professional background has taught me the importance of consistency, accountability, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching—qualities that are essential when families place their trust in a care agency. I am naturally detail-oriented and proactive, which helps ensure that nothing important falls through the cracks, especially in situations where clients and families may already feel vulnerable or overwhelmed.
At the same time, I am a patient listener who believes that truly understanding people’s concerns is the foundation of providing meaningful support. I care deeply about creating an environment where caregivers feel respected, supported, and valued, because I believe great care starts with caregivers who feel heard and appreciated. This balance of structure and compassion allows me to lead with both heart and responsibility.
Ramneeta: I bring a well-rounded combination of skills, experience, and personality traits that strongly position me for success as a HomeWell owner. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, I have developed a deep understanding of patient care, safety standards, compliance, and the importance of delivering consistent, high-quality service. This professional background allows me to confidently oversee operations, support caregivers, and ensure that clients receive compassionate and reliable care.
My experience caring for my mother before she passed away has also deeply shaped my approach to home care. Being both a healthcare professional and a family caregiver gave me firsthand insight into the emotional, physical, and logistical challenges families face. This experience strengthened my empathy, reinforced the importance of dignity and respect, and drives my commitment to providing personalized, family-centered care.
Q: What would you like your agency to become known for among your clients, caregivers, and community?
Kushagra: I want our agency to be known as a place where families feel an immediate sense of relief and reassurance—knowing they are not navigating care alone. For clients and their loved ones, I want our name to be associated with kindness, reliability, and genuine human connection, not just services or schedules. For caregivers, I want our agency to be recognized as a supportive home where they are respected, listened to, and appreciated for the meaningful work they do every day.
Within the community, I hope our agency becomes known for integrity, responsiveness, and a sincere commitment to doing what is best for everyone we serve. And above all, I want people to remember us as an agency that leads with compassion, builds lasting relationships, and treats every client as if they were family.
Ramneeta: I want our agency to be known for compassionate, reliable, and personalized care that truly improves the lives of our clients. I also want caregivers to feel supported, valued, and proud to be part of our team, and for our community to see us as a trusted partner in home care that makes a meaningful difference every day.
