For siblings Stefanie, Kendra, and Ray, their connection to home care stems from their upbringing in an extended family household in Chester, Pennsylvania. Growing up with four generations under one roof, the three learned the importance of caring for family at an early age, particularly their elderly grandmother and great-grandmother. While they later pursued different career paths as adults, their shared childhood experiences, familial values, and firsthand exposure to the benefits of home care inspired them to launch their own HomeWell Care Services agency in 2023. Today, as co-owners, they each view their HomeWell agency as more than just a business; it’s a vehicle to give back to their community by providing the same level of care and compassion to local families in Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

For Stefanie, business ownership was a natural step forward in a career heavily marked by leadership, including executive leadership roles at some of the largest and most prestigious global financial institutions, such as Bank of America, Citibank, Santander, PNC and MBNA America Bank. With an MBA from Eastern University in St. David’s, Stefanie was ready to take the leap to business ownership but sought a franchisor that aligned with her values and desire to serve others, ultimately leading her to HomeWell. As a co-owner of HomeWell, Stefanie enjoys working with her siblings to bring exceptional home care to local families.

Kendra’s career stands as a testament to her commitment to servant leadership. Her heart to serve has led her down a variety of rewarding career paths, from a direct support professional for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities to her current role as a Delaware State Representative and, most recently, the Director of Community Relations for a human services provider. Previously, Kendra served as an executive director for several years for another human services company, managing and budgeting its largest contracts and overseeing 21 programs and 1,100 individuals in Delaware and Pennsylvania. She possesses a master’s degree in human services from Lincoln University and has a proven history as an active and engaged servant leader known for working in the trenches with her team, leading by example, and helping each employee thrive in their respective roles.

Ray is a former professional basketball player. However, amid his success on the basketball court, his passion for serving his community eventually led him toward the education field. Now, equipped with a Master’s degree in School Counseling and 15 years of experience as an educator, he sees home care as a fitting next chapter in his pursuit to give back to his community. He claims that working with families in need always helps put things into perspective, reminding him of what’s most important.
